Ended on Bring a Trailer Auctions : 427 Stroker–Powered Superformance Cobra MKIII 5-Speed This Superformance MKIII Cobra replica was purchased new by the current owner from Dynamic Motorsports of Reno, Nevada, and completed in 2003. The fiberglass body is finished in silver and accented by a hood scoop, a chrome roll hoop, and side pipes, while the cabin is outfitted with black Connolly leather–trimmed bucket seats and a wood-rimmed steering wheel framing Smiths instrumentation. The car has 15” Halibrand-style wheels secured by AC-branded knock-off hubs and is further equipped with Bilstein adjustable coilovers and Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. Power is provided by a Coast High Performance 427ci stroker V8 with a Holley four-barrel carburetor as well as an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and cylinder heads, while shifting is through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip differential. This Superformance MKIII is offered on consignment by Mohr Imports—a BaT Local Partner—with factory literature, build sheets, accessories, and a clean California title. The fiberglass body is finished in silver and features a hood scoop and fender vents. Further details include a driver-side chrome roll hoop and a Le Mans–style fuel cap as well as side-exit exhaust pipes and chrome bumperettes. Halibrand-style 15? wheels are secured by AC-branded, three-eared knock-off hubs. The wheels are mounted with 255/60 front and 295/50 rear Yokohama Avid S/T tires. The car rides on an independent suspension with adjustable coilovers, and stopping is handled by Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. The cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in black Connolly leather, while color-coordinated carpets line the floors. The windscreen is fitted with plexiglass sun visors and wind wings as well as a sliding rearview mirror. Further appointments include a locking glovebox, door storage pockets, and AC-branded pedals. The wood-rimmed steering wheel has an AC-branded center cap and fronts Smiths instrumentation including a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles. The Coast High Performance 427ci V8 is based on a modified 351 Windsor and was installed as part of the initial build. The engine breathes through a Holley 4150 four-barrel carburetor accompanied by an Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum intake manifold and cylinder heads, an MSD 6AL electronic ignition, a Canton oil pan, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric puller fans. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and an aluminum Ford 8.8? rear end with a limited-slip differential. A car cover, tonneau cover, side curtains, Deist latch-and-link harnesses, and Cobra and Superformance badges are included in the sale along with factory literature. Superformance chassis number SP01677 is stamped to the front crossmember. The California Assigned Identification Number CA941808 appears on a tag as well as a Bureau of Automotive Repair sticker, the latter of which carries an SB-100 notation and describes the vehicle as a 2003 Specially Constructed Cobra Replica with a 2003 Ford 7.0-liter engine. The California title lists the car as a Specially Constructed with a 0000 model year using the California Assigned Identification Number.
